CHADDY Hoppers enjoyed a good weekend with the under-11s reaching the last eight of the Subsidiary Cup.
Josh Alker, Dan Javed, Bradley Dalloway, Sammy Bird and Ciaran Hamilton gave them a 5-3 victory at Samba Stars.
The under-11s’ blue team went three points clear at the top as they won 8-0 at Rossendale lads with goals from Josh Lindsay (four), Zac Douglas (two), Reece Howcroft and Gilly Clarke.
That was bettered by the table-topping under-12s’ blue side who hammered Unsworth Dragons 17-2 with Matthew McGladdery (four), Jordan Anderson, Nathan Quinlan (three each), Dane Mansfield (two), Michael Lyons, Curtis Boothroyd, Matthew Bullock, Ben Finch and Shaun Taylor all netting.
The reds were also victorious, beating Bury North 8-2 thanks to Blane Biggs (three), Joe Gill (two), Sean Gleeson, Adam Walton and Stephen Wharmby.
Hoppers’ under-eights’ blue side drew 0-0 with Westbury Wanderers, while Niall Webb and Callum Stirrup scored as the under-sevens' blue squad lost 3-2 in their friendly with Bridge Colts.
