Seeking silverware

THREE of Latics’ girls teams still have chances of silverware as the Oldham Girls League approaches the end of the campaign.

The under-12s’ division one team are in second spot after beating Uppermill Rockettes 3-0 last weekend thanks to goals from Natalya Smythe, Chloe Austin and Abbie Porter.

Their under-14s’ blue team are in third spot after Megan Jackson gave them a 1-1 draw with Curzon Ashton Tigers.

The under-14s’ Girls team started their League Cup campaign with a 3-2 victory at Curzon Ashton Pumas with Amy Jones, Kayleigh Murray and Nicole Scott finding the net.

There was a 3-0 League Cup defeat against Uppermill Rockettes for the under-10s, while the under-12s finished their league season in fourth after a 6-0 defeat at Heyside Angels Navys.
