Girls off the mark

OLDHAM Athletic’s Girls FC saw their under-10s win for the first time in the league this season with a 2-0 win at Heyside Angels Navys.
Charlotte Bowers got both goals for Latics whose under-12s’ division one side lost 4-2 to Moston Valley, Natalya Smyth scoring twice.
Emily Vale netted the consolation as the under-12s’ division two team lost 4-1 against Curzon Ashton Pumas.
Shelby Newton netted as the under-14s’ Girls team were beaten 3-1 at Moston Valley, but Megan Jackson and Georgia Nutter gave the blues a 2-1 win at Northside.
The under-16s ended the leaders’ unbeaten run as they saw off Heyside Clarets 2-1, Sarah Ryan and Holly Espie finding the net.
