Blues apply the KO

OLDHAM Athletic Blues’ under-14s team defeated the club’s Girls side 5-2 to march into the next round of the KO Cup.
Faye Hardacre scored a hat-trick for the Blues with Megan Jackson and Danielle Martin also finding the net.
Shelby Newton scored both the Oldham Girls’ goals as the Blues advanced to a tie against Northside in the next round.
The club’s under-16s team was also victorious, winning 3-2 in an end-to-end match at Uppermill Rockettes.
Brittany Birtles scored twice with Sarah Ryan also netting as Oldham came from 2-1 down to secure victory.
Their under-12s’ team were 2-1 victors at in their division two match at Chadderton Park thanks to two goals in the last eight minutes from Abby Bennet.
The under-12s’ division one match at Denton Town saw Oldham given victory after their hosts failed to turn up.
It was not such good news for the under-10s though as they went down 3-0 at Moston Valley after keeping the game goalless in the first half.
