Catching the Pumas

14/11/2007

OLDHAM Athletic’s girls’ teams endured a difficult weekend with only one victory from four games.

That came courtesy of the under-14s who won 2-1 at Curzon Ashton Pumas.

Having gone a goal behind, Athletic equalised just before half-time through Shelby Newton before Kayleigh Murray netted a late winner.

The Blues drew 3-3 with Curzon Ashton Tigers thanks to goals from Anna Moorhouse, Faye Hardacre and Megan Jackson.

However, the under-10s were beaten 2-0 by Uppermill Rockettes, while Hannah Thomas and Danielle Pickett netted in the under-12s’ 6-2 loss at Moston Valley Saints.
