Heyside humble youngsters

LATICS Girls and Ladies endured a mixed weekend as two teams went top of their respective leagues and the ladies remained in second spot.
The under-10s lost 8-1 to Heyside Angels Navy, Sian Greenwood netting.
Their under-12s’ division one match brought a 2-2 draw with Uppermill Rockettes thanks to Chloe Austin and Abbie Porter, while Alys Wild and Abby Bennett netted in their 6-2 division two defeat against Heyside Angels Navy.
Shelby Newton (two) and Amy Jones gave the under-14s girls a 3-0 win over Uppermill Rockettes, while the blues drew 3-3 with Curzon Ashton Pumas thanks to Lauren Steel (two) and Faye Hardacre.
Sarah Ryan was on target as the under-16s were beaten 2-1 by Heyside Angels, while the ladies won 6-0 at Chaddy End Ladies with Andrea Reece, Melissa Lane (two each), Bekky Jones and Tina Mellor were on target.
