UNABLE to inspire fightback: Latics skipper Sean Gregan was forced to play 90 minutes in his first game for six months

TWO goals in four second-half minutes effectively put paid to Athletic's hopes of making the League One play-offs as Swindon registered only their second victory in 11 games.
Lee Peacock and Simon Cox's double proved the difference as Latics struggled to create many meaningful chances at the other end.
Their best opportunity came on the half-hour when Chris Taylor sliced wide from Neal Eardley's cross with an empty goal to aim at.
Peacock's close-range header had forced Mark Crossley into the only save of the first half, but the veteran was unable to stop the former Manchester City striker from opening the scoring, stabbing home a low cross in the 49th minute.
The second came when Anthony McNamee, a constant threat all afternoon, sent Cox through before the striker dragged the ball past Eardley and hammered a shot beyond Crossley.
Swindon's victory was sealed 20 minutes from time when Cox played a one-two with Peacock and fired past Crossley from 20 yards.
Leon Constantine should have done better with a late chance for Latics, whose main consolation was the Sean Gregan and Andy Liddell played 90 and 45 minutes respectively after six months out with Achilles injuries.
Should less emphasis be placed on the results of tests and more emphasis on general education for children?
