JASON Jarrett's first-half double helped Latics make it three games without defeat as they swept Huddersfield Town aside at Boundary Park.

The midfielder, who had struck an equaliser at Doncaster Rovers five days earlier, made it three goals in two games to heap more away-day misery on ex-Oldham boss Andy Ritchie.

His Huddersfield side raised barely a whimper at Boundary Park, taking the number of goals conceded on the road this season to 40.

Jarrett opened the scoring in the seventh minute, claiming the final touch after Deane Smalley had struck the bar from 10 yards.

It was 2-0 five minutes before the break when Chris Taylor capitalised on Frank Sinclair's slip before playing in Leon Constantine for his second goal in three games.

Jarrett made it 3-0 in added time, curling a 20-yard free kick past Matt Glennon following Nathan Clarke's handball.

Taylor scored the fourth just after the hour, the assistant referee ruling that the ball was over the line before Glennon beat it away.

However, the keeper was able to save Jarrett's penalty - awarded after Michael Collins had tripped Taylor - while Mark Allott struck the bar from the rebound.

Substitute David Mirfin ensured the visitors had some minor consolation by converting Andy Holdsworth's free kick from close range in stoppage time.
