LATICS' run of seven consecutive away victories ended with a battling draw at Huish Park.

That they emerged with a point was down to Lee Hughes' sharpness inside the penalty area - though not in the manner to which Athletic’s supporters have become accustomed.

The striker turned defender to clear headers from Terry Skiverton and Lloyd Owusu off the line, while Mark Crossley dealt with everything the Glovers could throw at him.

Crossley tipped a Marcus Stewart effort onto the post, moments after producing a fine double save to thwart Andy Kirk and Zoltan Stieber.

In contrast, Athletic offered little in attack bar a late flurry of corners which yielded little in the way of chances.

However, Hughes blotted his copybook midway through the first half when he was booked for an off-the-ball incident with Nathan Jones, meaning he will be suspended for Saturday's FA Cup tie against Huddersfield Town.
