MACCLESFIELD were let down by poor finishing during their 2-0 pre-season defeat against Oldham.
Oldham's fire-power was too strong for the Silkmen with Michael Ricketts opening the scoring after just five minutes.
Craig Davies put the game out of reach with a simple strike after 54 minutes for his third goal in five games.
Macclesfield deserved something after exposing Oldham's frailty in defence but they couldn't find the net.
