BURY surrendered a 3-0 lead to draw 3-3 at Aldershot and slip off the top of League Two.

The Shakers looked on course for a comfortable win when they went 2-0 up inside half-an-hour, before Andy Bishop grabbed his second goal in the 57th minute.

But Aldershot stormed back with three goals in 10 minutes to stun the Shakers and maintain their unbeaten home record.

Bury had the better of the first half and Andy Morrell almost opened the scoring when he hit the woodwork with a 35-yard lob after a poor clearance by home keeper Mikhael Jaimez-Ruiz.

The Shakers took the lead after a fine move in the 24th minute, though, with Mike Jones picking out Elliott Bennett before his centre was confidently converted by Bishop.

Skipper Paul Scott doubled the Shakers' lead six minutes later when he was left unmarked to head home from Brian Barry-Murphy's left-wing corner.

Aldershot threatened with Anthony Charles and Marvin Morgan wasting good opportunities, both sending free headers straight at Wayne Brown.

Bishop struck his sixth goal of the season from another Bennett assist early in the second half, but Rob Elvins headed home in the 69th minute to spark the Shots' comeback.

Scott conceded a 77th-minute penalty for a clear handball, with Scott Davies converting the spot-kick, and two minutes later Danny Hylton broke from a Bury corner to shrug off Dave Buchanan and score the equaliser.

Bury had a chance to win it late on but Bennett headed straight at Jaimez-Ruiz from Bishop's cross.
