Preview: Mansfield v Bury

BURY boss Alan Knill is looking for a strong start from his players when they take on Mansfield Town in a crunch relegation clash at Field Mill tonight.

Knill saw his side beaten 2-1 on Saturday at home to high-flyers Darlington, and their cause was not helped by concededing a sixth minute penalty.

But he is boosted by a fully fit squad ahead of tonight's game.

"It's 19 games since we've had a clean sheet," Knill admitted.

"It's hard to change personnel, so we have to change our mental approach.

"One of the most important things is how well you start - and we've started poorly in all the games that we have played in since I have been here."

Knill is keen to eradicate the early blip of conceding goals and added: "I was disappointed to lose on Saturday, but I was happy with the attitude and application of the players, and also their desire not to lose.

"But it shouldn't be taking a goal or two goals down before we get going."

Knill will be hoping Bury can repeat last season's trip to Mansfield.

On their last visit to Field Mill, goals from Marc Pugh and striker Glynn Hurst saw them collect a 2-0 triumph.

Defender Ben Futcher is the only player missing through suspension.

The former Oldham Athletic centre back is missing his second game of a two match suspension for picking up 10 yellow cards this season.
