Hogg handed deal

LOCAL all-rounder Kyle Hogg is one of 10 players to be handed new contracts by Lancashire CCC.

Hogg, whose present contract was due to expire at the end of this season, joins the likes of Karl Brown, Steven Croft, Gareth Cross, Oliver Newby and Tom Smith in signing new deals at Old Trafford.

Cricket manager Mike Watkinson said: "We have high hopes for all ten players, as they will form the backbone of our senior squad in the years ahead.

"Despite four no results, a number of our younger players have had opportunities in this year’s Pro40 campaign. It has been very encouraging to see the energy, talent and commitment demonstrated by these players, and it bodes well for the future of Lancashire."
