YOUTH comes up against experience on Friday when Oldham Cricket Club stages its charity event night.
A Twenty20 match sees the Oldham Young Lions facing an Oldham Legends team with proceeds going to Dr Kershaw’s Hospice.
The Young Lions XI comprises players who have represented the first XI at some point, including the likes of Paul Thompson, Stuart Moore, Liam Garnett, Craig Joy, Craig Taylor, Nick Maree, Neil Inkpen and Ryan Mayes.
They will play a Legends team skippered by Mel Whittle and containing Stuart Meredith, Jason Maher, Howard Jump, Howard Schofield, Gary Crossley, Nicky Hill, Paul Jewitt, Darren Shadford, Carl Jump and Steve Percival.
Entry is £3 for adults and £1.50 for under-16s.
