Heywood handed title

HEYWOOD clinched the Lake Garage CLL title last weekend thanks to the showers which forced the postponement of the scheduled double-header.
Their games against Littleborough and Heywood were both cancelled, as were the matches involving nearest challengers Oldham (Milnrow and Rochdale).
That left Heywood six points ahead of the Pollards team with only one game left.
The season ends on Sunday with Oldham at Radcliffe, third-placed Crompton hosting Littleborough, Royton visiting Unsworth and bottom club Werneth entertaining Clifton.
