AJK still in the mix

AJK maintained their challenge at the top of division one in the Ashton and Oldham Cricket Alliance with a maximum points victory over Radclyffe.
Batting first, Radclyffe were all out for 129, Mahfooz taking 5-28 for AJK who replied with 130-6 as Nazeer hit 47 and Jasim 21.
Star Eleven remained clear at the top though with a 90-run victory over Greengate. They batted first and were all out for 170, Shahid making 48, while Greengate were dismissed for 80 in reply as Rizwan took 4-17.
Challengers Friends took full points at Copthorne as Rashid (54) and Nadeem (43) took them to 239-9 before Mosan Tilal (4-5) and Imran (3-17) helped dismiss the hosts for 132.
Elsewhere, Europa Exiles recorded their maiden league win of the campaign as they defeated Waterhead Methodist by eight wickets. Having skittled Waterhead for 54, Europa replied with 58-2 as N Jarvey made 20 and Hodgson an undefeated 19.
Newtonhurst took full points against visiting Jay Hind as Boone (49) and Simpson (42) took them to 144-9 before Jay Hind were all out for 101 as Buckley took 3-17 and Miller 3-23.
Foresters were seven-wicket winners at St Mary’s HC where they bowled their hosts out for 86 thanks to H Bailey (4-12), I Bailey (3-13) and Guduru (3-16).
In reply, Guduru made 22 not out and I Bailey 31 as Foresters reached 87-3.
