CROMPTON remained at the top of the Lake Garage CLL despite losing by two wickets against Radcliffe on Saturday.
Batting first, Crompton could only post 170 all out before their visitors reached their target with eight wickets down.
Werneth were also beaten last weekend, losing by 56 runs at Unsworth where the home side batted first and compiled 248-4. That proved too much for the local side to overcome as they were eventually dismissed for 192. However, there was good news for Oldham and Royton as both sides secured victories.
Oldham totalled 200-9 against Ashton who ended their reply on 159-9, while Royton were victorious by 14 runs against Heywood. Royton batted first and were dismissed for 186, only for them to dismiss their hosts for 172.
Woodhouses took maximum points from their JW Lees Lancashire County match against Woodbank. Luke Swards hit an unbeaten 78 and Phil Sutcliffe 70 as the Medlock Road side compiled 256-5.
Woodbank were never in the hunt and subsided to 118 all out in reply as Mike Cassidy returned figures of 6-14 for Woodhouses.
