Hind hurt by injury

LAST weekend saw the second stage of the group matches in the Ashton and Oldham Alliance Shield competition.
There was an excellent game in Group A as Jay Hind entertained Greengate, the visitors batting first and making 115.
Jay Hind were going well in reply until Tejas had to retire hurt on 40 and they were all out for 106.
Sunday’s Group B encounter between Foresters and Radclyffe was rained off with the latter on 22-1.
Group C saw AJK reach a very respectable 249-5 against St Mary’s HC who were 165-8 at the completion of their overs.
Group D saw Friends compile 242-6 against visiting Newtonhurst who were left hanging on at 130-9.
A rearranged league game saw Copthorne dismissed for 205 at Waterhead Methodist who were all out for 137 in reply.
