CROMPTON head the Lake Garage CLL table following victory at Monton and Weaste.
However, it was a game where Crompton did things the hard way having been reduced to 37-6 and 75-8.
They eventually reached 157 thanks to 62 from Majid Khan before Kevin Stoute turned the tables with the ball.
With the hosts looking in charge at 129-6, Stoute took a hat-trick before taking the final wicket – all in the same over – to leave Crompton victorious by 28 runs.
Also victorious were Royton as they recorded a five-wicket win against Rochdale at the Paddock.
Batting first, Rochdale were dismissed for 232 before Royton replied with 233-5, Simon Harmer hitting 107 not out.
However, Oldham and Werneth both went down to defeats in their respective games, the former beaten by eight wickets in their match against Norden at Woodhouse Lane.
The visitors were all out for 155 batting first before Norden reached their target with only two wickets down.
Werneth lost by seven wickets against Milnrow for whom Lancashire starlet Karl Brown made 116 in pursuit of Werneth’s 203-9.
Having lost by 124 runs against Denton West on Saturday, Woodhouses defeated Flowery Field in the JW Lees Lancashire County League on Sunday after dismissing the Tamesiders for 180.
