Animal who did this should never be free again

THE daughter of an early victim of a 'vampire rapist' has spoken of her shock at him being allowed out of prison to offend again - and is now demanding that this time the authorities throw away the key.

Donna Clayton told the Advertiser: "I would like to meet the other victims and put pressure on the Government for them never to let him out."

The 27-year-old broke her silence after psychopath Andrew Wild appeared in court last week for an horrific crime committed while he was out of jail on licence for an earlier attack on her mother.

He had been freed after serving less than than half of a five-year sentence for repeatedly stabbing Donna's mum, his then-girlfriend Christine Speed, and holding her hostage in Failsworth for 19 hours in 2002.

Wild - a cousin of actor the late Jack Wild, who played the Artful Dodger in the film 'Oliver' - already had convictions for biting a previous partner and another man in 1992, prior to attacking Christine Speed.

Last week the 40-year-old was handed a life sentence for kidnapping, raping and mutilating a woman in Uppermill in July 2005.

He had found his new victim after being released early for his crimes against Donna's mum on the condition he wore an electronic tag. But he removed the tag, took his 38-year-old victim to a canal in Uppermill and attacked her on an empty barge, biting chunks of flesh from her face and ear.

Wild pleaded guilty to rape, causing grievous bodily harm with intent, false imprisonment and assault by penetration and was given an indeterminate life sentence.

He will not be considered for parole until he has served at least 12 years, but Donna Clayton says there should never be another chance of him being let out of prison again.

She said that the terrifying events at her mother's semi-detached home in Farm Street, Failsworth, back in 2002, would always remain with her and - as far as she is concerned - had contributed to her mum's death in February this year, at the of age of 45, from heart disease.

"She had never been the same since that day," said Donna. "He may not have killed her physically but he killed her mentally. She was a great mum and friend and I miss her. The whole family does."

Wild, of Bury, had held Christine Speed captive for 19 hours, sparking a major police operation involving more than 100 officers.

During the terrifying siege he stabbed Christine in the arms, chest and legs.

At one stage he came out of the house brandishing a chainsaw and threatening to kill police officers. He also claimed he would detonate a bomb inside the house if police tried to enter.

Eventually armed police stormed the building when, despite her injuries, Christine managed to escape and raise the alarm.

She was taken to hospital with a broken sternum, bruised heart and multiple cuts, leaving her scared for life.

Wild was jailed for five years after pleading guilty to false imprisonment, perverting the course of justice, making threats to destroy property and affray.

Outside Minshull Street Crown Court following his conviction in 2003, Donna described her mother as a "cowering wreck" who feared Wild would come looking for her when he left jail.

This week she said: "I hope he never gets out again. There should never be another victim."

I can definatly relate to this story as it mentions him attacking another man in 92,well that's something i've had to come to terms with for around 14 years. I hope that anyone else who has suffered due to the violence of this parasite will find as I did, a determination not to let it ruin my life even though it will take time, don't give up. And if you haven't worked out already,I was the victim in 1992, If any of the victims or anyone involved would like to get in touch my no. is 0161 624 1877
