OLDHAM Sixth Form College have given their backing to Oldham Athletic and helped a group of Leisure and Recreation students.

The sponsorship of full-back, Michael Clegg helps form the basis of the student's Sponsorship in Sport unit, for which they needed to investigate a local sponsorship venture.

Marketing and PR Manager at Oldham Athletic, Sean Jarvis visited the school on Friday November 29 to present a Latics shirt signed by Michael to the students along with a football autographed by the entire Latics squad. He also gave a talk on sponsorship in football.

Mr Jarvis said: "It was a very enjoyable meeting with the students. I spent an hour answering their questions on sponsorship and how technology will develop in football in the next 20 years."

The sponsorship of Michael Clegg means all 26 squad members along with manager Iain Dowie have now been sponsored this season.
