THE family of a man who died following a traffic collision in Moorside have paid tribute to him.

Benjamin Jessop, aged 24, from Barnsley, died after his Hyundai car collided with a single-decker bus in Ripponden Road on Monday afternoon.

His family paid the following tribute: "Benjamin was a lovely son, wonderful brother, devoted grandson, doting uncle and popular friend to many.

"To be robbed of such a great person in such a senseless way has left all the family with a great void that we know will never ever be filled."

Two people on the bus received minor injuries.

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remains in police custody.
