10/ 4/2008

A 15-YEAR-OLD boy will appear in court following a crash that demolished part of Royton and Crompton Golf Club.

The teenager, who is from Chadderton, and cannot be named for legal reasons, is charged with two counts of burglary, aggravated vehicle taking, being carried in a motor vehicle that had been taken without consent, having no insurance and driving without a license.

He will appear before Oldham Youth Court on Friday 18 April.

As we reported this week, a two-storey stairwell at the club was demolished after a stolen Mercedes SL300 crashed into it.
