South Chadderton School is a community school which serves Chadderton, Oldham and north Manchester. This is a vibrant school of 750 students which prides itself on the achievement of all students.
In 2007, the school achieved the best results ever and has increasing numbers of students in  all years. English results at Key Stage Three even beat the national figure. Ofsted in March 2007 said  students’ contribution to their community was outstanding and their desire to learn was good. Increasing numbers of  students go on to sixth form and further.
Students take part in an extensive range of extra curricular activities through it being an Extended School and Pupil Voice is strong in helping to make the school successful. It has excellent grounds and although the buildings are not new, they are maintained well and provide students with every opportunity to achieve.
There is an excellent, energetic and enthusiastic staff who are all specialists in their field. They take advantage of the most up to date technology to make lessons interactive, meaningful and which are tailored so that each student can learn.
In the school every student is known and their progress monitored; students know that their teachers work with them to help them achieve all that they are able.
Visitors are always welcome.
