I have followed the tour with as much interest as described in these articles and as a native Bangladeshi I can only hope that this tour has been fruitful for both sides. I am sure tours like this will help raise the profile and develop football furthermore in Bangladesh. What pleases me most is the positive experiences of the Oldham Athletic team shared here and would be thankful as much as excited to learn about further tours like this to Bangladesh. These tours will in no doubt develop football in the country, help in bridging community links and also provide an educational experience for everyone involved. I sincerely hope that other British clubs follow the initiative taken by Oldham Athletic and take these steps in the aid of promoting football and giving hopes and dreams of a different sort from the norms of poverty, corruption and at times growing up with a purposeless future ahead to many a child.
