CINEMA: Summer of British Film, Cornerhouse, every Tuesday

17/ 8/2007

RELIVE the halcyon days of British cinema this summer at Cornerhouse, Manchester.

The art house cinema is part-way through a season of classic British films, all restored to their former glory.

Laurence Olivier's award-winning version of Shakespeare's Henry V is on at 6pm on Tuesday, August 21 with classic horror The Wicker Man (NOT the recent Nic Cage remake, 'scary' though that was) being shown at 8.40pm on Tuesday, August 28.

In September film fans can look forward to The Dam Busters on Tuesday, September 4 and cult favourite Withnail and I on Tuesday, September 11.
