Soapbox: Becky gets the boot from Kelly

Coronation Street

Kelly's patience with her clearly insane friend Becky finally runs out.

She's had enough of the lodger from hell, who has been trying to get between her and Lloyd, and gives her the boot. Which, of course, will be the end of all Kelly's problems. What do you think?

Becky takes the eviction personally, and decides to get her own back with a rather unusual course of action - stealing from all her colleagues and planting the booty on Kelly.

When Sally complains that her wedding ring has gone missing, Danny, who has enough on his plate at the moment, calls the cops.

When the swag comes tumbling out of Kelly's locker, she gets her collar felt and is dragged down to the station protesting her innocence. But, as she's done a bit of bird for shoplifting in the past, who's going to believe her?

Over at Roy's Rolls, things aren't looking too good for poor Norris. The funny little fella takes a tumble, slipping on some food and ending up on his back. This would normally be a bit of good old-fashioned slapstick, but there's nothing funny about it when an environ- mental health officer arrives to shut the place down.

Roy, a keen fan of healthy and safety legislation, had been away and is unimpressed with Vera, who he had left in charge.

We all know where goths belong - in graveyards or parks swigging cider, or even in pubs.

On no account do they ever belong in garages, tinkering around with people's cars. But that's just what Rosie suggests should happen when Kevin finds himself snowed under.

EastEnders

That Grant really never learns. Jane calls off the affair and he goes straight for new girl Chelsea.

While he's only after a bit of how's your father, she wants a full relationship. Feeling used, she chooses Jane's shoulder to cry on. Oh dear.
