WHY don't you ask a rocket scientist? Infuriated parents may
have come out with that line after being unable to answer all their
children's questions.
But now, youngsters who have looked up in wonder at the night sky
will be able to do just that.
Jodrell Bank, home to the Lovell Telescope - one of the world's
largest radio telescopes - will be opening its doors next week and
families will be invited to put their questions to the centre's top
astronomers.
Along with the impressive telescope, Jodrell Bank has a 3D cinema
which takes the audience on an the imaginary journey of spacecraft
Elysium 7 as it travels to Mars.
Audiences can see the ship's journey from its launch on Earth to
its landing on a futuristic Martian colony.
The centre, near Holmes Chapel in Cheshire, will be open at
2pm from Tuesday to Thursday next week. Entrance costs £1.50 for
adults, £1 for children aged four to 16 and children under four go
free. Call 01477 571 339 or go to www.visitchester.com for more
information.

Easter egg trails every day from tomorrow, throughout the
holidays.
Youngsters can search for paper eggs in every room of the museum,
draw their own design on the egg when they find it, and even win a
chocolate egg at the end of the journey. The events run from
10am-5pm on Saturday, and from 1-5pm on Sunday to Friday.
There will also be glass painting sessions on Tuesday and mobile
making on Wednesday, although it is essential to book these
