SOAPBOX: Tracy could lose Steve in hallway
by Rachel Broady25/ 4/2005
CORONATION STREET Just when the demise of the Harris family had cheered my I'm depressed because Steve beds Tracy. Again.
Admittedly he's sending out more mixed signals than a CB radio
but eventually succumbs to Tracy's charms when she threatens to
move to Portsmouth. (Let her go, have me!) Later Steve thinks she's
stood him up but the silly mare is locked in a hallway. Here's
hoping there is little ventilation.
Moving swiftly on.
Roy and Hayley are heartbroken when they decide to take Chesney to
Spain to see his mum and think a world where they can't have kids
but Cruella de Cilla can is a cruel one (but it could be worse, he
could be stuck with Jurassic Platt (as Poppy in Chorlton calls her)
as poor Craig was after his family were killed/imprisoned).
And Sally's life is in turmoil because Ian has been making the
replacement secretary work extra shifts. When wife Justine demand
he confess to his affair, Sally doesn't know which one she
means.
Then she tries to climb to the moral high ground and tells Kevin
she doesn't want to work for a cheat. It's a long way down Sally,
love...
EMMERDALE In Yorkshire Paddy and Viv are outed as
the filthy cheats they are. At first Emily finds the strength to
forgive them both and is as easy to push over as a Holly Hobby rag
doll - then the extraordinarily timid shopgirl snaps and wrecks the
shop.
When Bob finds out, he smacks Paddy - confirming he still has
feelings for the only 80s mannequin he could ever love?
And Donna is annoyed that Marlon knew about the affair all along
and loves Paddy more than he loves her. We all do!
Thankfully someone is still having a bit of fun at someone else's
expense.
Louise is consumed by lust for Matthew (is there nothing else to do
in the Dales but have tawdry affairs?).
She falls into his arms and then leaves without drinking the
champagne he offers, not realising he's celebrating winning a big
bet, of course.
Indeed, the only good news is that Diane is given the all clear and
decides to go on a shopping trip with Jack's cash.
So long as she buys him some shirts that don't make me want to
sing, "I'm a lumberJack and I'm ok!"
EASTENDERS Ruby has a crush on Danny and Stacey
helps her play tricks to get near him but Danny has to let her down
gently so doesn't laugh at her for wandering the square in her
jim-jams.
But Ruby (and Stacey) should get a spin-off series straight after
'Stenders is canned...whether she's awake or not.
