THE Frog and Bucket’s regular comedy night The Asylum makes a welcome return this Wednesday – this time to raise money for the National Association of Bikers with a Disability.

With a stellar line-up of established comics plus some newer faces, it should offer something to make most people smile.

Hot on the heels of his angst-ridden alter-ego Rod Shepherd – Conspiracy Theorist, Jeff Downs turns his acid tongue to that modern phenomenon the celebrity street artist, assuming the persona of Poxy – Urban Painter and Decorator.

He will be joined by Frog and Bucket regular Lee Fenwick, AKA laid-off Geordie shipworker Mick Sergeant, while Chris Ramsey and Carl Hutchinson will also perform in character.

Stand-ups include Lloyd Langford, George Cottier, Silky, Mark Talbot and John Lean.

Entry costs £5 or £3 concessions, with all proceeds going to the NADB. Doors open at 7.30pm for an 8.15pm show.
