FAMILY: Horrible Histories The Lowry, from Tues

25/ 6/2008

THE stage show that makes history fun for kids turns its attention to the Tudors and Victorians at The Lowry next week.

Horrible Histories – The Terrible Tudors & Vile Victorians uses actors and ground-breaking 3D special effects to offer a thrilling adaptation of Terry Deary’s award-winning books.

Historical figures and events come alive on stage, and the audience will be able to see the legends (and the lies!) of the torturing Tudors, find out the fate of Henry VIII’s headless wives and dodge the Spanish Armada’s cannon balls which seem to shoot straight out over their heads.

In The Vile Victorians, they’ll discover if they could have survived the filth of the 19th Century factories and the misery of the mines, go on a ride on the rotten railway, see slums and sewers and meet ghosts in graveyards.

The show runs from Tuesday to Saturday.

For tickets ring 0870 787 5793.
