FLOWER-power bloomed at a meeting of the Shaw and Crompton branch of the Macmillan Cancer Relief Fund. A display of floral arranging and a demonstration of how to make hanging baskets was given at the meeting at the United Reform New Hall, Rochdale Road, last week.

FREE computer training for absolute beginners is being held at Crompton Library. The sessions will give an introduction to word processing, internet and email. Anyone interested can find out more by popping into the library, on Farrow Street East, or by calling 01706 842184.
